Get ready for receive the summer season with unforgettable jewels in beach tones. This blue and white long necklace was made by me using beach and rainforest mediums.
The disks in blue and white are woven in toquilla palm straw growing in the rainforest mountains in Ecuador, I acquired the disks from the women weavers of this mountains towns and repurposed as a protagonist media in this asymetrical necklace using also tagua nut donuts from the rainforest dyed in blue and white, interlinked with silver plated links. The top is cotton waxed cord with macrame to adjust the necklace.
Finally the cherry on the top of the necklace, is my wire wrapping work using gold wire, shells shaped like leaves together and the center of this flower leaves is a gold filled bead in 14 k gold.
