These Tagua nuts chunky long beaded necklaces are part of my vintage Tagua collection from the 60s, it is similar to the designs worn by the fashion Icon Iris Apfel in baquelite.

Everybody know Baquelite was the precursor of plastic jewelry, what not everybody knows is before baquelite was invented there was jewelry made of TAGUA nuts, that industry of natural jewelry and buttons when to the toilet after cheaper plastic was invented.
But here we are back in organic and sustainable way of living and that is why I only design eco friendly jewelry made from tagua nuts and other organic rainforest mediums.
Please note the red necklace goes over the chest is shorter is 20 inches, does not goes under the chest, 25 inches like the other styles.
The tagua nut we use in designing our jewelry is helping to preserve the rainforest in Ecuador, the mother's land of Allie, the jewelry designer of this vegan necklace. Bold necklace only one or 1 available in each color combo. Truly one of a kind ! Rare find!
