The straw is super light is called toquilla and is the same straw using in the handcrafting of the finest Panama hats. The women weaving the disks live in Montecristi a mountain town in Ecuador.
The embellished have been made by me Allie, in United States using gold wire, and green faceted briolette crystals and gold filled beads. The posts are gold filled, hypoallergenic and with a beautiful hammered, organic texture that complements the natural straw. Length is 2".
